The experience at the cinema

My first experience sitting in an open space with rows of seats filled with all types of moviegoers staring at the large white blank screen as the lights began to dim.  I walk ahead of my father and younger sister as the butterflies in my stomach begin to control my sense of direction as I walk up and down the aisle anxiously searching for the best seat to satisfy my nerves.  My impatient father did not want to put up with his indecisive daughter and lead us to the seats that were the nearest and sat us down.

My eyes lit up as soon as the film began and the smile never faded since I step foot in the structure. Andre was the name of the film.  Andre is a seal, a seal who befriends a young girl and her father who become close friends.  The idea of developing a friendship with a wild animal besides the regular house cat or dog was interesting to me and pulled me more into the film.  My eyes were glued to the screen and never thought twice to use the restroom. I held it all in because I wasn’t going to risk missing a second of the movie.  The film was coming to an end and the lights begin to brighten up he space.

My father takes my sister and I by the hand and guides us up the aisle.  I didn’t want to leave, it was an experience I didn’t want to end ever.  Since then I go to the cinema religiously, but if I can not make the trip uptown, I go to my local supermarket and rent movies weekly.
